Why is it, even when we know the economy is horrible and lots of people are having the same problems, we tend to personalize it and feel as if we alone are failures? This seems to be a common theme in blogs I read – the feeling that there is something wrong with us if no one wants to hire us and that our dirty little secret (“Prior successes were just luck”) has been proven true. Wouldn’t it be amazingly great to be able to feel as good about ourselves even when times are tough as we do when times are great?!
Yes Joyce. That would be great! I think the cool thing about the Internet is that we can take a peek into the lives of others around us, perhaps allowing us to feel less alone.
