Humor Break

Laughter has been linked to many health benefits, such as pain relief, improved immunity, and decreased stress.  Be sure to regularly take a “humor break” to give yourself a lift.  Here are a couple of oldies, but goodies to get you started.

First, the world’s funniest joke according to some 2002 research by psychologist Dr. Richard Wiseman’s Laughlab:

Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn’t seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps, “My friend is dead! What can I do?” The operator says “Calm down. I can help. First, let’s make sure he’s dead.” There is a silence, then a gun shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says “OK, now what?”

Not to be outdone, here’s a classic video called “The Evolution of Dance.”  It’s definitely worth watching, if you have a few minutes to spare.

One of my favorites: How many psychologists does it take to change a lightbulb? Only one, but the light bulb has to really *want* to change.

Ha ha Stella! On my main web page ( I have a light bulb as the icon for my blog. Now you have added a whole other layer of meaning to that symbol for me. :)
